Ballet technique will focus on building strength, poise, proper body alignment, turnout and extension in an expressive atmosphere. Ballet classes are critical for growth as a dancer and are typically taught by professional ballet dancers and experts from Ballet Nebraska. - Ages 8+ - One recital dance Dress Code: Leotards and pink tights are required for all ballet classes. This class typically takes 1 year and is designed to set up the young dancers for success en pointe. This class emphasizes strengthening exercises for the legs and feet. Dancers learn about pointe shoes, how to properly affix and tie pointe shoe ribbons, and proper foot care. Dancers remain in pre-pointe until they are formally advanced by the instructor to study en pointe. - Ages 7+ - One recital dance Dress Code: Leotards and pink tights
